Our client was a national developer looking to expand their inhouse Build to Rent offering by leasing one of their newly constructed blocks in the Meridian Waterside development in Southampton.

Our team managed the transition of the product from build to sell through to build to rent, including marketing, leasing up and then successful tenancy and property management.

Carter Jonas operated as letting and managing agent for the Granada House development in Southampton, delivering build-to-rent services for Inland Homes on Block B since January 2022, and achieving full occupancy in June 2022.

The building is part of the wider Meridian Waterside development which has been under construction for the last two years and consist of high quality one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Carter Jonas have assisted with the mobilisation, viewings, tenancy progression, move-ins and lettings and property management via our Central Operational Living team, based in our Oxford office, and led by our experienced Partner, Chris Way. Initially this process was supported by the Inland Homes site sales team, alongside their role within the open-market sales properties.

When this team moved on from site, the viewings and onsite activity has been supported by our local Winchester office. We have worked closely with the Inland Homes team to ensure that both client and resident service delivery is of the highest standard.

Environmental, economic and social impact of the project

The scheme provided much needed mid-market rental accommodation within an urban regeneration area, alongside the social impact of the wider Meridian Waterside scheme.
