The Carter Jonas Living Sectors team, supported by our internal Project Management and Building Consultancy teams completed a resident’s amenity project at one of our clients’ BTR block in London.

The block owned by the client featured five small commercial units that were surplus to local requirements and presented a development opportunity. Our team proposed high-level plans for client consideration to retro-fit the commercial units to provide resident amenity including a large gym and wellbeing space, resident’s lounge, co-working space and a café area.

Our Building Consultancy and Project Management teams supported the amenity design, procurement and implementation phases of the programme, and were further supported by our inhouse Planning team, who have a close relationship with the London Boroughs.

Our internal Marketing team worked with an external agency to create a brand for the BTR building, including social media presence, and to plan launch strategy.

Following a successful build programme, and planning application, the amenity space and building improvements were launched to residents at a Halloween event planned by our onsite Community Team, who manage our Multi-Family communities on behalf of our residents and clients.

Feedback from residents has been extremely positive, and further external projects have now been planned to build on the success of the amenity offering.

Environmental, economic and social impact of the project

The amenity space has created a base for resident wellbeing events and community activity. The well-designed and sustainably sourced fitout complements the local area and the provision of a relaxing and enjoyable resident facility.
