Please note, as the Property is an Almshouse, occupation will be permitted by a Letter of Appointment with no fixed term rather than an Assured Shorthold Tenancy. Any individual appointed will be a beneficiary of the Charity and not a tenant. There is a weekly maintenance contribution (not a rent) payable, of £125/week (£542pcm). Please note, we reserve the right to increase this weekly maintenance contribution in line with RPI.

No pets allowed due to the nature of the property.

The accommodation comprises:

An oven has been gifted by a previous beneficiary, please note that this is not the responsibility of the Charity.

The application process will be as follows:

• Viewings will be by appointment only on Tuesday 29th April 2025.
• Application forms to be submitted to the clerk of the Charity (Beatrix Nicholson, Carter Jonas) by 1 pm Friday 2nd May 2025.
• All applications will be considered by the Trustees at a meeting following the viewing day.
• Occupation of the Property will be offered to the most appropriate applicant in accordance with the Heslington Almshouse Charity scheme for those in need, hardship or distress.
