Planning permission was originally granted by Harrogate Borough Council in October 1992 for the conversion of farm buildings to a dwelling, workplace and garaging – application number 6.73.38.PA. The property was then known as Higher Platts Farm. A further application was granted in August 1994 for the conversion of the farm buildings to form an additional dwelling with ancillary workspace and garaging – application number 6.73.38.A.PA. This permission was renewed in May 1996 – application number 6.73.38.B.RENEW. A copy of the 1996 Decision Notice is included in these particulars.

In February 2022 a certificate of lawfulness to confirm that development under planning permission 96/00585/RENEW commenced on or before 28 June 1997. A copy of the certificate is included within the particulars.
